Update: The Florida Sun Sentinal confirmed that Dwyane Wade was a part of the meeting in Miami and multiple sources report to ESPN that no agreement was made but options were pointed out at the meeting.
Update: The Miami Herald is reporting that Dwyane Wade was not in Miami this past weekend.
Various sources are reporting that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh met in Miami this past weekend to discuss their future in free-agency. This is leading many to speculate that the Heat are now the front-runners to sign the trio.
Earlier Monday, Fox Sports Radio’s Stephen A. Smith reported on his morning radio show and via his Twitter feed that James and Bosh have committed to joining Wade in Miami. However, all three players have maintained their assertions that they want to examine all of their options before making a decision.
LeBron has already stated that he wants to meet a few different teams near his hometown. The Bulls and Cavaliers appear to still be high on James’ wish list with the Mavericks standing an outside chance.
More interestingly, Chris Bosh appears ready to team with either Wade or James so teams with the ability to only sign one free agent may want to pursue other free agent power forwards like Carlos Boozer, Amar’e Stoudemire, and David Lee.
Whether the conference in Miami was planned or impromptu, it does shed light on the fact that James, Wade, and Bosh appear to have an inclination towards playing together.
